VATSIM’s Cross The Pond 2020
vAAirlines recognizes that one of the largest VATSIM events of the year will be taking off in just over 14 days. Unlike before when you would have to try and be the lucky person with the fastest internet to get a slot when bookings became available, this year VATSIM has rolled out a new “lottery style” system where users will submit their top three city pairings to be entered into the drawing. Users who are unable to secure a spot will receive priority for the next event which is also something that has never been around before.
Right now the current international schedule of American Airlines is not one that compliments this event very well so the Executive Staff has decided to add the following routes to the system to be flown for CTP only.

Since we have authorized these routes that are currently not in the schedule, the Executive Staff has also approved that the return flight may be also completed. These flights must be completed and submitted no later than 2359 Central Time on 22 November 2020.

Oh yeah… for those who are not in Group III and usually would be unable to fly these routes, we have also decided to make this event completely CAT FREE meaning any pilot from any group can fly any of the above routes for their CTP adventure and the return leg.
These flights will be posted before 2359 Central on 12 November 2020 for you to book in JetNet and will not be limited to any kind of “first come first serve” type availability meaning that you will be able to book it just minutes before the CTP flight if need be with no issues.
To enter your lottery picks head on over to VATSIM’s official CTP website (https://ctp.vatsim.net/) and follow their instructions once logging in with your VATSIM ID and password.
