VATSIM\u2019s annual Cross the Pond Westbound event is only a few weeks away and we have some information to share with you if you are interested in participating as a vAAirlines Pilot. Unfortunately, this year the city pairs were not available until after the window had closed so we were unable to tell if we would have any city pairs available to fly with our schedule. If you have been given a booking time, you should be good to go! If you did not express interest there will be any remaining slots released to the public on 14 April 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>CAT FREE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we usually do for this event, vAAirlines will be opening up this event to any and all pilots in our ranks, regardless of their rank. That means even a Group I or Group II pilot may participate in this event if they are able to obtain a spot! In order to also allow for members to position themselves for the event, or just enjoy flying the \u201cheavies\u201d for a few weeks in celebration of the occasion, we will also be going \u201cCAT FREE\u201d from\u00a0<strong>0001 CDT<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Friday April 12, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>2359 CDT<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Monday April 29, 2024<\/strong>. During this time period any pilot may fly any aircraft in our fleet on any route in the system, regardless of their normal rank restrictions.
